Stephen will cross parts of four states on his route: Montana, Idaho, Nevada and California. Along the way, he will see natural wonders such as the Montana’s Bitterroot Valley, Idaho’s Sawtooth Range, the Sierra Nevada mountains and the coast of California. He’ll pass through population centers such as Twin Falls, Reno, Sacramento and, of course, Los Angeles. But he’ll also walk through places as diverse as Lolo, Montana and Jackpot, Nevada.
Every day of his walk, Stephen plans to cover ten to 20 miles, taking meals and shelter wherever it’s offered, including at shelters for the homeless. “The one thing I won’t do is take a bed or a meal away from a truly homeless person,” Stephen says. “If a shelter has room for me, I’ll be delighted to stay there. But their clients must come first. I also want to make sure everyone else is fed before I sit down to the table.”
Where is Stephen now?
Stephen is currently in LOS Angeles, CA, and will be walking the last leg of his route to the Hospitality Kitchen TODAY! If you see him walking along Pico Blvd, Main St, or 6th St, you are invited to walk with him.
